The 2011 Red Anchor Stakes is known as theĀ 1300 Australia Stakes with nominations released today.
The event remains at a Group 3 rating and continues to be raced across 1200m for three year olds.
Once again there’s plenty of interest in the event too with a total of 19 horses still alive at this stage of nominations.
There is a capacity field of 14 in the race so at the very least five will drop out, although it could be more as a result of dual nominations.
The most notable of these dual nominees is exciting filly Karuta Queen which is also set for another test up against Black Caviar in the Schweppes Stakes.
Regardless of that though the likes of Emerald Downs, Glissade, Masthead and Miss Stellabelle will ensure this is a cracker of a race and the 2011Red Anchor Stakes is really one to follow.
